Harrison picked No. 50 overall

The wait begins for Husker fans - college football/baseball or the Brewers? It's the choice Nebraska signee Monte Harrison has.

After what was likely a longer wait than he expected, Nebraska football/baseball signee Monte Harrison was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2nd round of the Major League Baseball draft on Wednesday night. Harrison was the 50th pick.

A wide receiver/outfield prospect from Lee's Summit West high school in Missouri, signability might have been something that scared off organizations.

Shortly after the Brewers' pick, the MLB Network voiced concerns that Harrison would demand a high price to sway him from his Nebraska commitment.

Harrison, a wide receiver, caught 60 balls for 1,007 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2013.

According to the Nebraska Media Relations Department, Harrison hit .457, while driving in 33 runs and scoring 36 times with 25 stolen bases as a junior.
