Williams ready for SR season

Nebraska commitment Aaron Williams and his Atlanta (Ga.) Carver team are getting ready for their fall season. They have a tough workout schedule as well as doing passing league.

Atlanta (Ga.) Carvery defensive back Aaron Williams is helping his team this summer on both sides of the football. He says that the team has been looking good in passing league and in workouts.

"I am doing 7-on-7 with the team," Williams said. "We are looking good. Our team is heading to Auburn and Georgia for some tournaments. I have been playing safety and wide receiver.

"We have summer workouts from 4-7 on Monday through Thursday. We run for an hour, lift for an hour and then do drills for the last hour."

Williams committed to Nebraska after visiting for their spring game. He has stayed in touch with the Nebraska recruiting coach -- who is also his future position coach -- but they don't talk a lot about football. Their typical discussions are about life in general.

"I am staying in touch with Nebraska," Williams said. "I talk with Coach Charlton Warren weekly. We don't talk about football. We talk about everyday life. We have also discussed when it's good to take an official visit.

Williams has an interest in how the 2015 recruiting class for Nebraska is going to finish up. He says that the discussion is that one more defensive back will be added to the class to join himself, Avery Anderson and Eric Lee.

"In talking with Nebraska they are saying that they want to get one more high school defensive back. They are actually looking for one more safety and then they are through with defensive backs in the class."
