Every time I track down Jack Maly he is either coming from or going to a workout. The 6-5 270 pound Regis tackle does not talk about hard work, he lives it. Over the past two months Maly’s hard work has paid off gaining offers from South Dakota, South Dakota State and Idaho State.
The consummate lineman, always team first, Maly talked Regis team camp stating, “It went well. We bonded as a team and got our whole offense installed. We worked out some of the kinks. We are ready for the season.” Looking at his team Maly reports Alec Barnes at running back and Chris Martin and Andres Martin on the line are players that are stepping up this offseason.
Maly, when not hitting the weights, must hit the books, because he is getting serious Ivy League looks. Maly just returned from a tour of the east coast, camping and checking out multiple Ivies. Maly reports Dartmouth has started to show some initial recruiting attention.
Maly’s great size, work ethic and smarts is a package that is tough for schools to pass on. This is a player that will get bigger and play better in college. With three schools already on board, Maly’s offer sheet will grow as his senior season begins.
