Wallace sets one official visit

The Huskers are looking for athleticism at the second level and have locked onto Bo Wallace. There is already one official visit set for Wallace. Where is he going and will he visit Nebraska?

Bo Wallace from River Ridge (La.) John Curtis Christian is on his last remaining days of summer. He’s also on vacation and one last break before his senior year begins.

”I am actually on vacation right now,” Wallace said. “I will talk, but the summer is coming to an end. Football starts for me on Monday morning at 7:30.”

The 6-foot-4 and 205-pound outside linebacker spent a lot of time this summer trying to improve specifically to playing the position. He also spent time trying to get ready for the season by focusing on his conditioning.

”I had really been focusing a lot of my movements, working on recognizing the down and the distance and understanding then what I am looking for in that situation. I also worked a lot on my hand placement doing drills and I was also working on my overall conditioning.”

There was one unofficial visit that Wallace took this summer because it was convenient to do so. Wallace says that he was in the area and it was only a short drive over to check out one of the many schools that have offered him a scholarship.

“I took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame this summer. I took a vacation to the area to attend a graduation. Swinging over to Notre Dame was easy to do – it was just 45 minutes away – so we took advantage.”

That unofficial visit was great for Notre Dame who can build upon his experience at that time when they get to host him early in the month of September for an official visit. The Irish are lucky because taking official visits during the season could be extremely difficult to do.

”Taking trips this fall might be tough to do because of the season. I have an official visit set up to go back to Notre Dame on September 6th when they play Michigan. Other than that I don’t have any official visits set up.”

Wallace says that beyond Notre Dame there are no other schools that are guaranteed to get a visit. When he is ready to set up his official visits that list of his schools may be his top five and his final list of schools that he is considering.

”I might just set my official visits and call those five schools my favorites. That may be how this works. I just know that getting chances to take visits throughout the season will be difficult to do.”
