HornedFrogBlitz.com com has learned that former Nebraska defensive tackle Aaron Curry will transfer to TCU according to multiple sources. Originally a three-star prospect and nation’s No. 22 defensive tackle prospect out of Keller (TX) Fossil Ridge, Curry spent two seasons on the Cornhuskers’ defensive front.
Curry played as a true freshman and sophomore for the Cornhuskers. In 2013, Curry recorded 24 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 2 sacks.
Curry will sit out the 2014 season per NCAA transfer rules, but will still have two years of eligibility because he has not had a redshirt season.
The move to TCU will allow Curry to be closer to home which was a big factor in his decision to leave Nebraska. It also boosts the Horned Frogs defensive front for the 2015 season as they will have to replace Chucky Hunter, who graduates this December.
