Donut: Dillman to play JV at Guyer

The Nebraska Husker commit will stay put despite being found ineligible.

Nebraska quarterback commit Kevin Dillman will stay at Denton Guyer high school after being found ineligible to play by the Texas UIL earlier this month according to the Denton Record-Chronicale.

Dillman will be the Wildcats starting JV quarterback and mentor fellow Nebraska offeree Shawn Robinson (2017 class) on Friday and Saturday nights.

"The only thing that’s going to be different is come Thursday, I’ll be playing JV instead of varsity on Friday," Dillman told Adam Boedeker. Then I’ll be out coaching for the other players in the varsity games. I think I’ll gain more if I stay, let’s put it like that.”

The quarterback looked at various private high schools in the area to continue his high school career and play this season before deciding on Guyer.

DIllman is a three-star prospect on

"You do not hear about seniors playing on JV that often," said national recruiting analyst Greg Powers. "I think this is the first time I can remember hearing about a story like this of a high profile D-1 type guy like Dillman playing on a JV."
