This week's visitors!

After a weekend without an official visitor the Huskers will have a surprise official visitor as well one of the more talented sophomore prospects in the area in attendance Saturday.

Nebraska opened up the season strong against FAU and hopes to keep the momentum going this weekend against McNeese State. With an 11:00 start it's tough for a lot of players to get into Lincoln. However, the Huskers will host their first official visitor of the season. Here is the list of visitors for this weekend:

Official visitor:

Jaason Lewis, ATH, 6-foot-4, 240-pounds, Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes
Lewis takes his first official visit to Lincoln. This is his first visit to a Big Ten school and it's the first of three weekends of official visits (Ole Miss and Arizona State). The Huskers like Lewis as an athlete according to him, but it's clear that his preference is offense.

2015 commits:

Christian Gaylord, OL, 6-foot-6/275-pounds, Baldwin City (Kans.)
Gaylord is a probable visitor this weekend for an unofficial visit. He mentioned over text message that he would like to get to Lincoln, but Baldwin HS opens their season tonight and he likely has practice on Saturday morning.

DaiShon Neal, DE, 6-foot-8/240-pounds, Omaha (Nebr.) Central
Neal confirmed that he will be in Lincoln on Saturday. Neal was also there for the win over FAU a week ago. Central opened their season a week ago, with publisher Josh Harvey in attendance and won over Lincoln Northstar, 28-18. Central plays on Friday against Papillion-LaVista. Central is ranked No. 5 in the state.

Michael Decker, C, 6-foot-4/280-pounds, Omaha (Nebr.) North

It's assumed that Decker will be in Lincoln given his proximity. Decker was also in Lincoln last weekend like Neal was. North opened their season last week with a win over Millard West, 20-13. North is the No. 1 rated team in the state and plays Omaha Burke on Friday.

2016 prospect:

Jared Bubak, TE, 6-foot-4/240-pounds, Lincoln (Nebr.) Christian

Bubak is the first and only current in-state junior to hold an offer from Nebraska. It was clear that the game last weekend made quite the impression on Bubak and has made him their call on the next commit and first member of the 2016 class. Christian lost last week to Boys Town, 25-14. Bubak and his squad are back on the field against Wahoo Bishop Neumann on Friday.

There will be more visitors and we will let you know leading up to the start of the game. Going into Saturday though these are the headliners. Stay tuned to for all of the latest football and recruiting news!
