4-star DB Deshawn Raymond to visit Nebraska

Scout.com has learned that talented four-star cornerback Deshawn Raymond will visit Nebraska next week.

According to a report by TigerSportsDigest.com, part of the Scout.com network, 2015 East Jefferson high school (LA) product Deshawn Raymond will take an official visit to Nebraska next week. The defensive back is a four-star player and the nation’s No. 30 cornerback in this year’s class.

“Raymond is a new-age corner with size, length, and quickness,” says Scout.com national recruiting analyst Chad Simmons. “He has really improved his footwork over the last year and he is able to open up his hips and run with wide receivers. He is best playing close to the line of scrimmage with his long arms and physical style of play. He has good reaction speed and can make a play on the ball.”

According to Scout.com’s Hunter Paniagua, the feeling by many is Raymond is strongly considering TCU and home-state LSU.

The Huskers will join schools like Mississippi State (Oct. 4), Arkansas (Oct. 11), and TCU (Oct. 18), as official visit destinations for the senior.

Nebraska will take on Miami (FL) next week and is expected host a handful of visitors, including uncommitted standouts Tavin Richardson (23-TE) and Jamile Johnson (43-S).

The list, which could grow in the coming days, will be updated again by Big Red Report next week when visitors send in their final confirmations to Scout.com.
