Nebraska comes back to Lincoln after a win on the road last week against Fresno State. The Huskers will get a chance to host a double-digit official visitor total. There will be a number of recruits in Lincoln already committed to Nebraska which will be able to help with the other visitors this weekend.
Eric Lee, CB, 5-foot-11, 170-pounds, Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian
Nebraska commitment Lee has been in Lincoln a number of times before and will take his official visit this weekend. The four-star cornerback will be a great asset for the Huskers to have in town to talk with some of the uncommitted official visitors. Valor Christian is 3-1 and has a bye this week.
Carlos Davis, DT, 6-foot-3, 270-pounds, Blue Springs (Mo.)
Davis hasn't been on campus this season up until this weekend. Nebraska is likely done at the defensive tackle position with Carlos and his brother being "N", but there is definitely a need at defensive end. Davis will get a chance to recruit a visitor this weekend. Blue Springs is 3-1 and plays on Friday night against Lee's Summit.
Kenneth McGruder, S, 6-foot-1/190-pounds, Houston (Texas) Taylor
McGruder is a former teammate of Josh Kalu at Taylor HS. Kenneth's name was thrown around as a potential visitor for Big Red Weekend, but committed to Oklahoma State. It's a great sign that the Huskers will get a shot at the four-star recruit. Taylor is 1-2 on the year and play against Alief Elsik on Friday.
Kahlil Haughton, S, 6-foot-2, 170-pounds, Waco (Texas) Midway
Haughton was a late addition to the weekend's list. The four-star safety just returned from a visit to Oklahoma and has visits scheduled to Arkansas and Texas Tech in October. Midway is 3-0 on the season and plays Duncanville on Friday night at home.
Deshawn Raymond, CB, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, Metairie (La.) East Jefferson
There is a strong rumor that Raymond is going to end up at LSU, but getting a visit is giving yourself an opportunity to change that. Raymond will get the first scheduled official visits with other trips coming up to Mississippi State, Arkansas and TCU. East Jefferson is 1-1 this season and plays Bonnabel on Friday night.
Tavin Richardson, TE, 6-foot-4, 205-pounds, Duncan (S.C.) James F. Byrnes
Nebraska is the only scheduled official visit for Richardson right now which may be a good sign or not a sign at all. A good thing to see will be Nebraska throwing to the tight ends like they did last week against Fresno State. Byrnes is 2-1 and is the No. 2 team in the state. They play on Friday night against Gaffney.
Andre Smith, LB, 6-foot-0, 220-pounds, Jacksonville (Flor.) Trinity Christian Academy
The North Carolina commit has held a Nebraska offer for a long time. The Huskers have been diligent in their pursuit of Smith who acknowledged that the Huskers have kept after him and that was a big reason why they are getting a visit. Trinity Christian is 1-1 and play against Madison County on Friday night.
Lamar Jackson, QB, 6-foot-2.5, 200-pounds, Boynton Beach (Flor.) Community HS
Jackson looked like a real possibility for the Huskers until he committed to Louisville. Jackson loved his trip to Lincoln this summer and there is still a very solid chance here for the Huskers. Boynton Beach is in action tonight against Westminster Christian and are off to a 4-0 start.
Khalil Davis, DT, 6-foot-2, 260-pounds, Blue Springs (Mo.)
The other Davis will also be in Lincoln this weekend as well for the first time. The Davis twins could have a big impact on this class to help the Huskers get another player or two to jump in.
Christian Gaylord, OL, 6-foot-6, 270-pounds, Baldwin City (Kans.)
The future Husker was in Lincoln for the season opener because his season hadn't started yet. Gaylord has been staying in touch with all of the other commits on a group text message. Baldwin has opened up the season 0-2 and plays on Friday against Perry-Lecompton.
Reuben Jones, DE, 6-foot-2, 220-pounds, Lakeland (Flor.) Lake Gibson
Jones has a long list of offers and the Huskers will be getting the first official visit. According to Jones the Huskers like him as a 3-4/4-3 guy a lot like Nebraska uses Randy Gregory. This is a player that could really be influenced by Carlos and Khalil this weekend. Lake Gibson is 3-0 so far this year and have a bye this weekend.
Unofficial Visitors:Avery Anderson, S, 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, Colorado Springs (Colo.) Pine Creek
DaiShon Neal, DE, 6-foot-8, 240-pounds, Omaha (Nebr.) Central
Jackson Perry, OL, 6-foot-2, 275-pounds, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman
Michael Decker, OL, 6-foot-4, 280-pounds, Omaha (Nebr.) North
This list has been fluid through Friday. It's unlikely to change again before game day, but always stay tuned to BigRedReport.com for all of the latest football and recruiting news!
