Reuben Jones planning additional visits

The defensive end spot in this recruiting class for Nebraska is incredibly important. The Huskers have hosted Lakeland (Flor.) Lake Gibson defensive end Reuben Jones earlier this year and have stayed in consistent communication with him since.

Reuben Jones from Lakeland (Flor.) Lake Gibson says that it's tough keeping up with what he has to do. It's all about school right now whether that's in the classroom,

"Since I got back from Nebraska I have just been staying busy," Jones said. "I have been busy with going to school, doing my homework and then football. It keeps me busy all day."

The 6-foot-3 and 223-pound defensive end has one official visit under his belt and has two others scheduled over the next month or so. Jones will definitely check out a Big Ten program and possibly a Big 12 school as well.

"Someone is saying I am visiting Michigan State this month, but that's not right. I will go to Michigan State for the Ohio State game on November 8.

"I have another visit planned. It's not set yet. I am planning on going to West Virginia for the Baylor game on October 18th. That one isn't in stone yet."

The official visit to Nebraska is standing out to Jones. The Nebraska coaching staff has been giving chase with communication happening between multiple coaches and Jones. The Huskers are on a bye, but Jones is unsure if he will see anyone from Nebraska this week at his school or game.

"Oh definitely still thinking about Nebraska," Jones said. "That is still my first official visit and I talk with the Nebraska staff all the time. I am either talking to Coach Rick Kaczenski or I get letters all the time from defensive coordinator John Papuchis.

"I don't know if the Nebraska staff will be here this week or not on their bye. I have been talking with them about scheduling an in-home visit later on this year."
