Tavin Richardson gets visit from Huskers

The Nebraska coaching staff is fanning out across the country and trying to cover as much ground as they can on a bye week. Today the Nebraska wide receivers coach was by to see one of their top remaining recruits on Nebraska's big board.

Tavin Richardson from Duncan (S.C.) James F. Byrnes had a visitor today. The 6-foot-4 and 205-pound tight end/wide receiver had a college coach stop by his high school on their bye week.

"Coach Rich Fisher was here today from Nebraska," Richardson said. "He came and watched us practice. We spoke later on the phone because we can't talk in person.

"We talked about where I was on their board. Nebraska likes me as a big wide receiver or as their "X". They said that they like me a lot and he also told me he's going to recruit me hard."

Richardson is just a few weeks removed from seeing Lincoln and there are still some things that stand out to him. He loved the fans on the visit and says that he also liked that he saw on the field from the Nebraska offense.

"I was in Lincoln for an official visit for the Miami game. I really liked the fans from the visit. I like their offense and how it's balanced with the run and the pass. You can do anything in their offense."

While Nebraska may have gotten the first official visit from Richardson it won't be his last. There are two visits set up and a third that he will have to reschedule. Richardson plans to take all five visits.

"I am going to UCF on October 25th and Louisville on November 29th. I was going to go to Kentucky on December 13th, but I have a bowl game that week. I have to find another week. I am not sure where I will take my last visit."
