Nebraska commits are taking a wait and see approach with Mike Riley being announced as the new head coach. Stanley Morgan who announced he was opening up his commitment following Bo Pelini being fired from Nebraska is speaking a little more positively about the new hire.
"I think that it's a great move," Morgan said about Riley being hired as the head coach at Nebraska. "I got some mail in the last month or so from them. I know a guy on their team and I have watched some film on their offense."
Morgan who is now considered a soft commitment to Nebraska given that he is open and looking around could be a little firmer than most soft verbals. The Huskers could get Morgan back on the commitment list fairly quickly.
"Oh, I am still committed to Nebraska," Morgan said. "I like the offense at Oregon State. I like the pro-style. I can definitely see myself in that offense at Nebraska."
Morgan is a friend to another soft verbal of Nebraska's, Kendall Bussey. Morgan hadn't spoken with the running back recently, but said that he could see a great fit for Bussey in the offense as well as a partnership between Bussey's ability and what it does for defenses.
"He is a talented running back," Morgan said. "He could get a lot of defenses to really load up the box to stop the run and that could open up a lot of passing opportunities."
