Nebraska commit Stanley Morgan is coming around to how things will be in Lincoln. At first the 6-foot-1 and 180-pound wide receiver from New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr took a step back and opened things up. Then Nebraska hired Mike Riley and now the newest assistant coach called Morgan tonight.
"Coach Mike Cavanaugh called me from Nebraska tonight," Morgan said. "He signed his contract with Nebraska today. He was real cool and I felt very comfortable talking with him over the phone."
The new Nebraska staff did their homework it seems on Morgan telling him tonight that they loved his film. Morgan sees himself as a good fit still in the offense that Nebraska will run under Coach Riley.
"They saw my film and they loved it he said. They will be running a pro-style offense and they see me still playing the "X". We are going to talk more about that at the in-home visit."
Morgan isn't sure when that in-home visit will be, but he's looking forward to it. Morgan says that he's really coming around more and more to totally committing back to Nebraska. It's something that the in-home will definitely help the Nebraska staff with doing.
"I never decommitted," Morgan said. "I have always felt like Nebraska was the right place for me. I just needed to open things back up and again see what was going to happen with Nebraska. I am looking forward to my in-home visit."
