Dedrick Young from Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial had one of the four announced assistant coaches stop by to see him today at his school. The 6-foot-1 and 214-pound linebacker said Coach Trent Bray was there to see him.
"Coach Bray was by to see me this afternoon," Young said. "I really liked him and it was a good visit. I had an offer from Oregon State, but they weren't in my top six."
One might wonder what it does to Nebraska's chances that their coaches have been replaced. Not only replaced, but replaced with coaches that came from a school that was recruiting Young, but wasn't in his top six.
"It really didn't matter to me. I wasn't choosing a school for the coaches. I was really focusing on the academics when it came to my decision."
Given that coaches weren't a big part of the decision and Nebraska was in Young's top six where is Nebraska on the list of six? Nebraska fans will eagerly be waiting Young's announcement which will come on Monday.
"Oh Nebraska is way up there for me," Young said. "I am pretty sure that I am going to announce my decision on Monday. I would say about 95% sure that I will announce Monday morning at 8:00 at my school."
