Huskers check in on Kahlil Haughton

While the Nebraska head coach has been out getting the commits back into the class other assistant coaches have been out seeing other recruits. The new linebacker coach was in Texas seeing this defensive back last night.

Under head coach Mike Riley, Nebraska has reached out to Waco (Texas) Midway safety a couple of times already. The 6-foot-2 and 170-pound safety was visited by one of the few assistant coaches that Nebraska has announced so far.

"Yes sir Coach Trent Bray was here from Nebraska," Haughton said. "He was just announced as the linebackers coach for Nebraska."

Haughton visited Nebraska back in mid-September. The visit last night with Coach Bray went well and Haughton says that he was sure that once Coach Riley finishes his staff it will be a solid staff.

"The visit really went well. It was great catching up with Coach Bray and as far as the coaching staff they're still not sure who will all be part of it yet. But, I know under Coach Mike Riley he'll have a great staff."

The Huskers are in the top five for the talented defensive back. Haughton also says that he is equally considering all of the five schools on his list. Haughton could come to a decision shortly after all of the in-home visits.

"I don't have an order, but Nebraska is in my top five," Haughton said. "I am also considering all five schools. As far as my decision goes I'll wait until all the home visits are done and then discuss with my parents what we think is the best and just go from there."
