Report: Daishon Neal favoring Oregon

Omaha Central (NE) high school defensive end DaiShone Neal tells another media outlet he's favoring Oregon.

Omaha Central high school (NE) defensive end DaiShon Neal has been committed to Nebraska since April, but things could be changing.

A week after telling Big Red Report that Oregon would be in-home with him on Saturday, the senior tells The Oregonian he will take an official visit to Eugene in January.

"I've always wanted to go to Oregon. That was my pick when they first offered. I was ready to commit there, but my dad didn't want me to de-commit from Nebraska, because he wasn't sure what Oregon has to offer," Neal told the paper.

It's worth noting Neal is not originally from Nebraska and moved from Texas two years ago.

"I have not broken my commitment just yet,"Neal told Andrew Nemec of the OregonLive. "I plan on taking an official visit (to Eugene) sometime in January, so I can look at the campus for myself and see what Oregon really has to offer. I'll base my decision on that visit."

In the near future, Scout.com will highlight him in our “Spotlight” series.
