Decision coming soon for Matt Snyder

Matt Snyder may be close to a decision. The talented tight end has seen Nebraska and caught up with the new head coach at Oregon State. Snyder could decide in the next week and a half.

Matt Snyder from San Ramon (Calif.) California recently took a trip to see Nebraska. The Oregon State commit picked up an offer from Mike Riley after he took the head coaching job in Lincoln.

The 6-foot-5 and 235-pound tight end wanted to take the trip to Lincoln to see what Mike Riley had to offer now in Lincoln at Nebraska. Snyder wanted to get the visit in before the dead period and also talk with the new head coach at Oregon State. Snyder then thought he would make a decision soon.

"I will decide probably by the end of the year," Snyder said.

One thing that Snyder said following the visit to Nebraska was that he had to get to know Gary Andersen who took the head coaching job at Oregon State. Snyder has spoken with Andersen since coming home from Lincoln.

"Yes I did talk with him. But, I'm going to talk with him a few more times before I decide. I have spoken with Nebraska too since leaving. Mainly just to check in."

Snyder is a three-star recruit according to Scout.com. He is ranked as the No. 52 tight end in the nation.
