Scout.com Top 300 offensive lineman Jalin Barnett from Lawton (Okla.) had a great visit to Nebraska recently. According to his head coach that weekend Barnett might have been close to committing. Barnett said over text that he is still close, but doesn't know when he might be ready.
“Soon,” Barnett said over text message. “I am not sure yet (on the exact date).”
Coach Randy Breeze spoke with Barnett last week. He said that is Barnett is close then he's not sure that means committing before another official visit. Coach Breeze said that Barnett might actually take another official visit next month.
”I am not sure how close he really is,” Coach Breeze said. “When we talked last week he mentioned taking a visit to Oklahoma State to be sure. That would have to take place in January. I am just not sure how close he is to making a decision.”
Barnett has visited Arkansas, Oklahoma and Nebraska. Coach Breeze around Barnett's official visit to Nebraska stated that Barnett grew up a fan of Oklahoma State and was the other team in what he thought was Jalin's final four to go with the schools he had visited.
