Ameer Abdullah post Holiday Bowl

Nebraska running back Ameer Abdullah talked for the last time in a post-game setting on Saturday night.

San Diego, CA - He didn’t rush for 100 yards, but Saturday night’s Holiday Bowl contest might have been one of the best games of Nebraska running back Ameer Abdullah’s career.

“I think you guys could tell he was more like his old self, maybe didn't have a 200 yard rushing game but look what he did for us in the return game,” said interim head coach Barney Cotton. “He gritted out some yards that weren't there in the second half to keep drives alive, even in the passing game got some touches there. What a great competitor, a great person, what a great character guy. We're all probably a little better off be having not just Ameer on our football team but be around him as a young man.”

In the video below, Abdullah talked about the contest, his career, and what’s next.
