Matt Snyder deciding on New Year's Eve

Nebraska may get the tight end that they are looking for going into the New Year when Matt Snyder announces on New Year's Eve.

Matt Snyder from San Ramon (Calif.) California stated in an earlier interview that he would probably make a final college decision by the end of the year. The Oregon State commitment took a visit to Nebraska and will decide between the two schools.

"I will announce my decision on New Year's Eve," Snyder said over a text message. "I am not exactly sure when I will announce, but it will be on that day."

Snyder took the visit to Nebraska after Mike Riley left Oregon State to become the head coach at Nebraska. The Huskers offered Snyder shortly after Riley became the head coach.

There is definitely a need for a difference making, pass catching tight end in the class if there are plans to go with more of a pro set offense. There were 24 receiving touchdowns this year for Nebraska of which only three went to tight ends. Out of 190 total receptions only 10 went to the tight end position.
