LINCOLN, Neb. - After finishing the nonconference portion of the schedule at 8-4, the Nebraska basketball team returns to Pinnacle Bank Arena for their first Big Ten contest of the season on Tuesday afternoon against Indiana.
The Hoosiers, one of the Big Ten’s surprise teams, has jumped out to a 10-3 record overall and is currently averaging a Big Ten best 83.4 points per game.
“This year they are playing four guards,” said Miles. “They are very good in transition and get shots up in a small amount of time…their ability to make the three this year has made them really hard to guard.
“We are going to want to play mid-60s possessions, they are going to want to play upper 70s. Something is going to have to give.”
Nebraska Probable Starters

Nebraska hasn’t played since Christmas Day, when they defeated Ohio to finish 2-1 in the Diamond Head Class in Hawaii.
“I really thought they got better in the three days of the tournament, now let’s see the carry over value,” said Miles. “Do I like being 8-4 – no. In my eyes, 10-2 is kind of a minimum. But at the same time it’s the way it goes.”
Miles hopes the road experience Nebraska has received over the first two months of the season will help his team going forward.
“We have been everywhere to play. We played at Hawaii and Rhode Island. How many miles are those two apart for road games? Florida State. We have been to a lot of different places.”
Nebraska took both games against Indiana last season.
