Eric Lee checks in from Semper Fi game

Just a week away from being a full-time college student and Eric Lee is spending his time at an All-American game recruiting for Nebraska.

Eric Lee from Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian has been taking part in the Semper-Fidelis practices all week. The four-star defensive back has been taking advantage and talking to some players to get them interested in following him to Nebraska.

"Yes sir I have been talking with some recruits," Lee said. "I have been talking to Sheriron Jones and Lavan Alston a little bit."

Lee has put in a lot of work for this class recently. If you recall, Lee and his father were in Kansas City to watch the Holiday Bowl and were with Carlos Davis and Khalil Davis. Not Lee is trying to get Jones and Alston to at least visit Lincoln.

"I am not sure about Jones (if he will visit). I can't get a good read on him, but my dad and Lavan's parents have connected really well."

While trying to recruit Lee is also trying to make an impression and have some fun playing in his last prep game. Lee says that there is a stereotype about players that come from states like Colorado and he's having fun proving them wrong.

"This whole experience has been a lot of fun!" Lee said. "Sometimes I get put at a disadvantage just because I'm from Colorado.

"As a state, Colorado isn't known to produce a lot of DI talent. It's making it fun though to prove them wrong."
