Nebraska lands 4-star Jalin Barnett

Nebraska filled a major need in their class, by landing four-star offensive lineman Jalin Barnett.

Sources at Lawton high school have confirmed to multiple Scout.com writers that four-star offensive tackle Jalin Barnett, an Under Armour All-American, has committed to Nebraska.

The offensive tackle visited the Huskers in mid-December.

"He is strong at the point of attack and once he locks on to a defender he does a good job of keeping his feet moving and finishing the play with aggression," said Scout.com national recruiting analyst Greg Powers. "He can struggle sometimes on the island with quick DE in pass pro, but moving inside he will have protection on both sides and his quick feet and long arms should make that one of his big strengths."

Big Red Report has yet to talk to Barnett about his commitment, but in the meantime here is a recruiting "Spotlight" on the senior did earlier this fall.

Barnett picked the Huskers over offers throughout the process from Alabama, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Stanford, Tennessee, UCLA, Texas Tech, and Auburn. He also had an offer from Oregon State when new Nebraska head coach Mike Riley was there.

This is a developing story.
