Kaiwan Lewis talks about visit to Nebraska

The Nebraska staff has targeted a number of linebackers and could take as many as three more in the class. One that could provide an immediate boost to the class is this possible South Carolina transfer.

South Carolina linebacker Kaiwan Lewis will graduate in May and plans to enroll at another school this summer. The 6-foot-0 and 225-pound linebacker is being targeted to play the middle and SAM positions at Nebraska.

"The visit was good," Lewis said before boarding his plane. "I was glad to see all of the coaches and watch film that was a highlight film for me seeing my fit there at Nebraska."

The highlight film really centered around a player at another school that some of the staff at Nebraska has seen before in the past. There was also film from the Beavers defense that they also reviewed.

"We watched film of Vontaze Burfict at Arizona State and film of the defense last season at Oregon State."

While it wasn't a Nebraska football weekend it was a basketball weekend. Lewis said that he was blown away with the fan support for the basketball team in the win over Michigan State on Saturday.

"The stadium and the facilities were great. I was able to see the game day atmosphere for basketball which was crazy!"
