Huskers coming tomorrow to see JUCO DE

This junior college defensive end got an unexpected call this evening. The call will be followed by a Nebraska coach coming by to see him tomorrow!

Miami (Okla.) NE Oklahoma A&M defensive end Austin Roberts is becoming a hot commodity. The 6-foot-6 and 265-pound recruit picked up an offer recently from Georgia and will take an official visit there this weekend.

The latest news though is that off of a busy official visit weekend in Lincoln the Nebraska staff is at it again. Charlton Warren was working the phones and called Roberts to gauge interest.

"I just hung up with Nebraska," Roberts said. "Coach Warren the defensive backs coach called me to see if I would be interested in Nebraska. I told him that I would be. He said that he was coming tomorrow to see me."

Roberts will be taking an official visit to Georgia that last official visitor weekend, but says that he can still take a trip to Nebraska. "I will just go to Nebraska on Wednesday and then go straight to Georgia from there."

Many might be concerned that Nebraska is chasing a bit of a long shot now that Georgia has offered. Roberts is from Georgia, but says that is not the case. "Georgia wasn't an offer I was necessarily waiting on," said Roberts.
