Pitt trying to get Alex Davis to visit

A new team is trying to enter the picture for Alex Davis. The defensive end is all set for his visit this weekend to Nebraska. Is he changing his plans?

Palm Beach Gardens (Flor.) William T. Dwyer defensive end Alex Davis picked up an offer from Nebraska earlier this week. The 6-foot-5 and 215-pound Georgia Southern commit set up an official visit for Nebraska for this weekend.

And so as recruiting goes when a player picks up a new offer from a school typically others follow. Pitt followed suit with Nebraska and will be attending Davis' basketball game tonight trying to get him to visit Pitt instead of Nebraska.

"They are coming to my basketball game," Davis said. "My parents already have their tickets to go to Nebraska as well this weekend. My plans with Nebraska have me flying out tomorrow morning at 8:30. I am going to visit Nebraska."

Davis is one of seven known official visitors and an incredibly important one for the Huskers. Davis could be the answer that Nebraska is looking for opposite Omaha (Nebr.) Central defensive end DaiShon Neal in the 2015 class.
