Husker fans are excited to hear that Nebraska will be hosting one of their top linebacker targets next month. Jaleel Laguins, a 6-foot-2 and 207-pound linebacker from Watkinsville (Ga.) Oconee County will be taking the trip with the quarterback from his high school team.
"Yes sir I will be taking a trip to Nebraska with Zeb Noland," Laguins said. "I really want to see and understand how much football means to the Nebraska."
Nebraska fans had to be a little concerned about which assistant coach might have been recruiting Laguins or Noland for that matter based on Charlton Warren leaving Nebraska. Laguins said that it's been another assistant and that they are developing a relationship.
"No sir, Coach Trent Bray has been recruiting me. I have been calling him and developing a relationship. He seems like a pretty cool coach and he's been telling me that Nebraska is an amazing place."
Nebraska grabbed quite a few linebackers late in the class of 2016. They might have taken more if they could have. There still should be a very good chance to earn early playing time. Laguins has something playing into his favor too when it comes to seeing the field early.
"Yes sir he's told me that there is," Laguins said. "Nebraska also likes me at either inside or outside. That could help me get ont eh field sooner."
