Multiple Huskers to play Shrine Bowl

Huskers DaiShon Neal and Michael Decker will play in the 2015 Nebraska Shrine Bowl.

Nebraska will have a pair of signees play in the 2015 Nebraska Shrine Bowl on June 6. The game is annual event featuring the top 70 high school seniors through out the state.

Omaha Central’s DaiShon Neal, the nation’s No. 41 defensive end, will play on the South roster. Neal picked the Huskers over offers from Oklahoma, Oregon, Michigan, and Iowa.

Neal will be pitted against Omaha North’s Michael Decker on the North team. Decker is the nation’s No. 7 center according to Scout.com.

If the two play, it will be the first time Nebraska has had a player in the game since 2011, when Daniel Davie of Beatrice played.

In addition, Nebraska will have four walk-ons play in the game: Noah Johnson (Sutton), Fyn Anderson (Lincoln Southeast), Conor Young (Cozad), and Wayatt Mazour (Boone Central).
