Huskers back in picture for Blake McClain

Nebraska may be back in on a familiar name. This talented 2014 recruit has been granted his release and will be attending a junior college in the fall of 2015 making him eligible to enroll at a DI school in January of 2016.

South Carolina defensive end Blake McClain, a 2014 graduate from Jacksonville (Flor.) Sandalwood, has been given a release from his scholarship. The 6-foot-3 and 265-pound McClain is set to enroll this summer.

"Yes sir, I have my release," McClain said. "I will be going to Poplarville (Miss.) Pearl River Junior College. I will be attending their summer session, play in the fall and be able to transfer at December. I will have three years to play three years."

Nebraska fans remember McClain. He committed while on his official visit to Nebraska -- a seemingly unbelievable "BOOM" that weekend was heard on Twitter -- and then flipped to South Carolina shortly after. McClain says that he is definitely considering the Huskers again.

"Oh most definitely I am considering Nebraska. I have spoken with Chris Jones about the new staff and he says that they are cool. I would really just need to take a visit to see how I connected with the new staff and how I fit their new defense."
