Nebraska getting ready to host Cali talent

Nebraska will host a talented group of California prospects this weekend.

Big Red Report has learned Nebraska will host up to a double-digit list of California recruits this weekend, including a couple four-star players and commitments to Pac-12 schools.

The group plays for Team19 All-Stars, a 7-on-7 squad run by former NFL standout Keyshawn Johnson, who played for Mike Riley at USC. Johnson's son, a 2017 prospect, is one of the top sophomore wide receivers in the country and already has an offer from Nebraska.

"We are coming in for practice on Monday," Johnson Sr. said in a text message with Big Red Report. "Hopefully the weather is good."

Nebraska will be in luck. The weather is supposed to be nice, with reports of 60+ degrees on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
