LINCOLN, Neb. - After taking the Big Ten by storm last season, junior Terran Petteway was named third-team All-Big Ten on Monday night, the only Huskers basketball player to find a spot on any team.
Petteway this season averaged 17.8 points per game and 5.0 rebounds, shooting 39 percent from the field and 30 percent from three-point territory - nearly all drops in production from a year ago.
Nebraska enters the Big Ten tournament on Wednesday losers of eight straight games and a 13-17 record. Their record is likely a large part of why junior Shavon Shields didn't find himself on the list. The former Kansas City prep is averaging 15 points and nearly six rebounds a game this season, while shooting 44.9 percent from the field.
