Noah Jones is a player that people should start remembering his name. The 6-foot-4 and 245-pound defensive end from Moore (Okla.) Southmoore took a trip north to Nebraska this weekend and came away impressed.
"I got to Lincoln on Saturday morning," Jones said. "I got to walk around the stadium and see all of their facilities that morning. I really liked their stadium. It's one of the best stadiums I've seen."
Besides just getting the tour and looking around campus Jones got a chance to see the Huskers out on the field. He saw first-hand how Mike Riley and his defensive staff plans to use their defensive ends.
"I got to watch them practice. I like the defense that they run. It gives the defensive line players a chance to make plays. I could see myself being a good fit for their defense."
Jones is a player that a lot of people feel is a bit of a secret and will blow up in time. Jones said that there were no discussions with the Nebraska staff regarding an offer, but he's already holding two DI offers already.
Jones thinks that he's versatile and can stop the run and pin his ears back and get the quarterback. Jones also feels like he can play all of various techniques that a defensive end could play in a 4-3.
"I think that I can be a run stopper and a pass rusher," Jones said. "I think that I could play at the five, seven or the nine. I would like to get back to Nebraska maybe for a summer camp."
