Nebraska offers St. Louis '16 WR

Nebraska has offered St. Louis wide receiver Roddrick Bryant.

Despite an injury that wiped out his junior year, Nebraska offered wide receiver Roddrick Bryant of Christian Brothers College in St. Louis on Tuesday night. Bryant was considered one of the top prospects in the state of Missouri for the 2016 class prior to his injury.

"This was a bit surprising to me," said Scout.com's Derek Young, who reported the offer on the Red Zone. "I thought he'd have to have a strong camp showing over the summer or a good senior year to prove he still had it."

The three-star prospect also holds an offer from Illinois, with schools like Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, and Michigan State evaluating.

"On his sophomore tape, Bryant shows off the size and ball skills necessary for the outside receiver position," said national recruiting analyst Greg Powers. "He high points the ball regularly, and has the size to go up the ladder and win battles for the ball in the air. His route-running isn't crisp and a part of his game he will look to develop further."

Bryant is 6-foot-3 and 185-pounds.
