Cade Johnson to attend Huskers spring game

After putting up solid numbers last year, Bellevue West junior Cade Johnson plans to be at the Huskers spring game on Saturday.

After picking up an offer from South Dakota State nearly two weeks ago and with more FCS offers possibly on the way, Bellevue West wide receiver Cade Johnson plans to visit Nebraska's spring game this weekend.

"I attended their junior day and my high school coach talks to them no and then, but that's about it for interest so far from Nebraska," said Johnson, who caught a reported 35 balls for 700 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect is looking for a school that shows him the most interest and wants him for his skills.

"I'm quick and shifty," said Johnson, when asked to describe his game.

Johnson is the son of former Husker Clester Johnson and the brother of recent Wyoming signee C.J. Johnson.

"I just love the tradition that comes from the program," said Johnson, when asked if Nebraska was a dream destination.

Cade plans to camp with Nebraska and Wyoming this summer among others.
