Colorado Springs (Colo.) Pine Creek outside linebacker JoJo Domann was a name that many Nebraska fans thought they might hear was visiting Lincoln this past weekend. Domann would have been there, but he was with his traveling team in California this past weekend.
"If I didn't have seven on seven I would have been there," Domann said. "We were in Los Angeles this weekend at the IMG tournament. We were the No. 1 seed and were 6-0, but were beat by the eventual champion and then a team from Texas and were eliminated. We got 5th."
The 6-foot-1 and 204-pound linebacker is going to start seeing a number of schools come by Pine Creek to get a closer look at him. The position coach from Nebraska will be there on Thursday according to Domann.
"Actually, Coach Trent Bray is going to be here Thursday to see me. I don't know when I will get back to Nebraska, but I know that it will be in the next two months. I will make plans to get there either in May or June."
The 2016 class will be a large class -- likely take 25+ recruits -- however, the 2015 class was a little heavy at linebacker. Domann said that he has been told how many outside linebackers the Huskers plan to take and how many they had offered when he got his offer a month ago.
"Yes, we did talk about numbers," Domann said. "Coach Bray said that they are going to take just one outside linebacker in the class the last time we spoke. He told me that I was the fourth outside linebacker that they had offered."
The offers continue to roll in for Domann. He has a double-digit offer total already and picked up an offer from Virginia last week
