Nebraska extends scholarship to O'Brien

Nebraska has offered another quarterback, Patrick O'Brien from San Juan Hills, California.

The wait is finally over for San Juan Hills (CA) quarterback Patrick O’Brien. The junior finally has a power-five offer.

Scout.com broke the news on Tuesday afternoon that O’Brian, after being evaluated by Nebraska offensive coordinator last week, received an offer from the Huskers.

“I'm a loss for words right now,” O’Brien told Scout.com’s Greg Biggins.

Biggins went on to talk about his conversation with O’Brien in Big Red Report’s member’s Red Zone.

According to Big Red Report’s Bryan Munson, it’s easy to see why the junior signal-caller was offered.

“The 6-foot-4 and 225-pound O'Brien has some big upside,” said Munson. “He works under center and out of the pistol. He can stretch plays with his feet -- 4.8/40-yard time -- and shows a strong arm with a quick release.”

In this video, O'Brien talked with Scout.com about winning the Opening Regional MVP in Los Angeles back in mid-March.
