Huskers host possible big time transfer

Could Nebraska be the landing spot for Louisville guard Anton Gill?

After hosting him over the weekend, Nebraska could be the landing spot for Louisville sophomore guard Anton Gill this summer.

The former Scout.com four-star prospect averaged 9.4 minutes a game this season for the Cardinal. He is also considering East Carolina and Georgetown, where former teammates Akoy Agau landed after transferring during winter semester.

Gill said Nebraska's facilities were some of the best he's seen during the recruitment process and the Husker coaching staff's track record with Division 1 transfers should be noted.

“Everybody saw what they did with (Terran) Petteway," said Gill. "Coach Miles and I really talked about how I would come in and be a big part of the team. That’s what every player wants.”
