Nebraska junior safety LeRoy Alexander, who sat out the 2014 season for undisclosed disciplinary reason, will not return to the roster in 2015 - electing to play football elsewhere. The Ohio native had participated in spring football with the Huskers.
Alexander started one game in 2013, making 13 appearances and looked to be a contender for a starting safety spot this fall.
In addition, Nebraska head coach Mike Riley announced on Thursday redshirt freshman wide receiver Jariah Tolbert, who has had multiple run ins with authorities while with the Huskers, will also transfer before the start of the 2015 season.
Tolbert was deemed a projecting coming out of high school after not playing in an offense that threw the football much in 2013.
Riley also noted in addition to the two transfers, former starting linebacker David Santos, who was thought to be a contender for a job in the fall, will not be on the roster in 2015.
