TE Jack Stoll recaps Nebraska visit

Jack Stoll is back in Colorado, fresh off a Nebraska visit. He will decide between the Huskers and Texas Longhorns on Friday.

With an announcement date looming, Regis Jesuit high school (CO) tight end is back in Colorado, after spending a good portion of the weekend at Nebraska.

“I really loved it,” said Stoll, who is considering Nebraska and Texas in his final two. “Getting time to talk with Coach (Mike) Riley and to get to know Coach (Tavita) Thompson. I got to meet some of the players and they were all great guys. I really got to see what Nebraska was all about.”

It was the second visit to Lincoln for Stoll, who visited during the Huskers spring game in April.

“(The visit was) about getting to know the program and that had to do a lot with the people in it. During the spring, guys all worried about playing in the game,” said Stoll. “I thought it would be good to get to Lincoln when there was a lot less pressure on them. I had a lot more time to talk to them.”

One of those guys was 2015 four-star defensive back Eric Lee, who enrolled early at Nebraska. Lee is also from Colorado.

“He was one of the guys who came up to me and I thought, ‘I will get to know him, he’s from Colorado.’ I would say that he’s a Nebraska player from Colorado, so getting the perspective was good,” said Stoll.

Stoll’s announcement date is Friday. While he and his family are still trying to make a final decision, he admits one school is standing out.

“We will see if that happens on Friday night,” said Stoll.

Stoll currently is 6-foot-5 and 225-pounds. Besides Nebraska and Texas, schools like Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming, UNLV, Colorado State and Air Force put a scholarship on the table.
