Nebraska standing out for Avery Roberts

After a spring game visit to Lincoln, Nebraska is in a good spot at the moment with 2017 linebacker Avery Roberts.

Concord high school (DE) 2017 linebacker Avery Roberts already has a sizebale offer list, but the soon to be junior says new schools have showed a lot of interest as of late.

South Carolina and Clemson are going to offer me soon, but they just want me to visit. The same goes with Alabama,” said Roberts. “I also have interest from Oregon and Notre Dame.”

Roberts attended Nebraska’s spring game in April and because of his experience in Lincoln, the Huskers are in a good spot at the moment.

“I would say most schools are even right now, but I have a couple that are standing out,” said Roberts. “Of the schools that have offered me, I would say Nebraska and Penn State are standing out. Also Pitt and Stanford.”

Big Red Report asked Roberts to talk about each school.

Penn State – The atmosphere is great. The coaches are laid back and funny. The environment is just great.

Nebraska – Pretty much the same thing as Penn State. The people love their team. I get along with the linebackers coach Trent Bray there.

Pitt – It’s perfect for what I want to do. I like their linebackers coach a lot. He seems like a pretty cool guy.

Stanford – They have told me that I’m their No. 1 linebacker on their board, so that’s big for me and why I like them. They have showed a lot of interest.

As a sophomore, Roberts had 112 tackles, 6.5 sacks and 19 tackles for loss.
