Huskers dismiss WR Kevin Gladney

Nebraska has dismissed sophomore wide receiver Kevin Gladney.

Nebraska has another open scholarship.

In a statement that hit inboxes late Friday afternoon, Nebraska announced sophomore wide receiver Kevin Gladney has been dismissed from the team.

In 2014, Gladney played wide receiver and on special teams, appearing in seven contests. He did not register a catch.

A former Ohio standout, Gladney was a three-star prospect coming out of high school and had offers from schools such as Iowa, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, Purdue and Michigan.

It's very unlikely Gladney would have factored into the two-deep at the wide receiver position in 2015.
