Scout Now: How good can Tommy Armstrong be?

Through 21 starts Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong has been an average quarterback when it comes the passing game. Big Red Report's Josh Harvey says if the Huskers want to be conference championship contenders, Armstrong will need to take his game to a new level.

Nebraska junior quarterback Tommy Armstrong was named to the Manning Award Watch list on Thursday. The biggest question surrounding the junior is can he take the next step this season.

Through 21 starts, Armstrong has been an average college quarterback. If the Huskers want to go from an above average team to a conference championship contender, Armstrong will need to improve.

Nebraska fans hope new offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf can help the process. The former Oregon State coordinator has worked with multiple college quarterbacks who went on to the NFL. Langsdorf also was New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's position coach last season in the NFL.

Big Red Report's Josh Harvey discusses Armstrong in this Scout Now.
