LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska is searching for a third wide receiver to join Jodan Westerkamp and De'Mornay Pierson-El in the starting lineup. While most look to junior Brandon Reilly, often time people forget there is a receiver on the roster with nine career starts.
Junior Alonzo Moore's spring was pretty quiet, but on Sunday night, the former Louisiana prep was noticed.
“Way to go Zo, make him fix his jersey. Make him fix his jersey," said wide receiver coach Keith Williams when Moore had a great block on the outside to spring a long Tommy Armstrong touchdown run.
Moore was a regular part of the Huskers' receiving rotation in 2014, although his impact in the box score was limited. In 11 appearances, including seven starts, Moore only recorded 10 catches for 136 yards.
