Nebraska junior tight end Cethan Carter is suspended for the USA contest

Nebraska tight end Cethan Carter is suspended for the Huskers' contest against South Alabama this weekend.

LINCOLN, Neb. - For the second straight week, Nebraska will be without tight end Cethan Carter. Head coach Mike Riley announcing on Thursday Carter is suspended for the Huskers’ contest against South Alabama.

Nebraska also lost senior tight end David Sutton last week to injury. Junior Trey Foster, who caught a touchdown in week one, is questionable for the contest.

Carter has played 22 contests in his career, making 14 starts. He has 16 career receptions.

It sounds like Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf is looking forward to the return of Carter down the road.

“Big. Really big. It will be exciting to see him,” said Langsdorf. “He’s a really good route runner. He catches it clean. It will be a good weapon to add to our deal.”
