The Nebraska secondary needs work before their game with Miami this week

If Nebraska wants to beat Miami this weekend on the road, the Nebraska secondary will have to be better than they were in the first two weeks.

LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska secondary coach Brian Steawrt has seen the tape. He thinks Miami's wide receivers are a talented group. It's his job to get his guys ready.

This includes cornerback Daniel Davie, who struggled against South Alabama's deep ball last weekend.

"He's good. That's one thing about this game. There is going to be some guys who have your number," said Stewart. "The thing is, you have to try to win as many of those 1-on-1 battles as you can."

Stewart says it's on him to help his guys learn how to "finish." Multiple times in the last two weeks Nebraska corners have been right there, stride for stride with a receiver, to only lose the battle at the end.

"That's what we are going to work on this week, just to finish," said Stewart.

In the video above, Stewart previewed Miami and talked about his position group's efforts so far.
