Nebraska running back Devine Ozigbo is just waiting his turn as a true freshman

Nebraska true freshman running back Devine Ozigbo is taking the same approach this season he did as a sophomore in high school.

LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska true freshman running back Devine Ozigbo shared a story on Monday with reporters. His sophomore year of high school, Ozigbo was asked by his coaches if he wanted to be the guy on JV or a fifth-string running back on varsity.

"I was like, put me on varsity. I will be the best looking guy on the bench," said Ozigbo. "Things happened and I ended up starting. I held the position the rest of my high school career.

"Who knows what could happen?"

It's clearly a good mindset to have. Just ask Iowa fans and their struggles to keep the running back spot healthy over the years.

In the video above, Ozigbo talks about his experience at Nebraska so far and the decision to head to Lincoln.
