Nebraska-Minnesota post: Terrell Newby

Nebraska running back Terrell Newby had a career long 69-yard run to set the tone for the Nebraska offense on Saturday.

Nebraska running back Terrell Newby was a home run threat in high school. Turn on the film from his senior year and and you will see a handful of runs over 50 yards.

But, despite 221 attempts over the course of his career coming into Saturday, the junior running back had never went for one longer than 43 in a Husker uniform.

Until today.

With his team down an early 7-0 after Minnesota's opening drive of the game, Newby found a lane big enough for a semi-truck to drive through and took it 69-yards on Nebraska's opening drive on Saturday.

"That was a huge lane, I just saw it and took it," said Newby. "We felt really comfortable after that."

Newby talked to reporters after the game on Saturday night.
