Nebraska wide receiver commit Derrion Grim is having an unprecedented senior season.
Despite still having one regular season contest, the McNair high school (Cali.) wide receiver set the state record for touchdowns in California over the weekend with three scores against Edison.
The three touchdowns pushed his season total to 27 on the year.
“I like to think I’m a balanced receiver, because I’ve got good speed and I also can fight through tackles,” Grim told RecordNet.com. Grim is also shy about 100 yards from setting the state record in receiving yards."
Grim has also added three scores on special teams.
"It's pretty amazing what he has done this season," said Scout.com national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins. "He is a lot more polished this season, you can see it in his route running, how well he catches the ball and then he has added some explosiveness and runs really well after the catch. He's a pure a pass catcher with very good ball control and the game just looks very easy for him right now."
In early September, Grim was named the National Recruit of the Week by Scout.com.
