NE Oklahoma A&M cornerback Maurice Chandler opened up his recruitment in early November and looks like he could be visiting Nebraska in the very near future.
"It's not set up yet, but I'm planning on it for the Iowa game," said Chandler, who already visited Lincoln once during the Huskers' Red-White game. "I remember the strong fan base and great academic program they had."
Chandler was committed to Oklahoma and took an official to Norman in September, but said the departure from the Sooners' class was in the best interest for his family and himself.
A 6-foot-2, 195-pound corner, Chandler has also visited Arizona State. At this point, he's not setting up any other official visits besides Nebraska and will look to early enroll in January.
Publisher's note: Assuming Nebraska beats Rutgers and Iowa is undefeated, Memorial Stadium will likely be rocking on Black Friday. Chandler will be getting a solid atmosphere and should see that there will likely be open competitions in the spring in the secondary. If Nebraska can get him on campus, their chances have to be on the same level as Arizona State.
