Nebraska junior college prospect Markell Simmons just wrapped up an official visit to TCU and now says the Huskers, Horned Frogs, Oregon State and Utah are all in the mix for his services.
A three for three junior college prospect, Simmons visited Lincoln when the Huskers knocked off Michigan State in early November. At the time, he called the experience one of a kind.
Two weeks later, the Pima junior college (Ariz.) safety visited Utah, but not without a visit from Nebraska defensive coordinator Mark Banker the day before his left on his trip. What seemed like almost a chess move, Banker wasn’t able to talk to Simmons in person, but spent plenty of time at his school to show how much of a priority he really is.
Now less than 48 hours after coming back from Fort Worth, another chess like move from Nebraska.
“Coach (Mike) Riley and (Mark) Banker are coming tomorrow night at 7pm for a home visit,” said Simmons in a message to Scout.com.”
He also reflected on his trip to TCU.
“I loved it. I was surprised how nice the campus was, even if it was small,” said Simmons. “Coach Patterson is a good man. I enjoyed the whole staff.”
Big Red Report will catch up with the junior college prospect on Monday night after his visit with Nebraska.
